Started on a spring tune up on a KX500 and pulled the air box apart and there was a little surprise sitting there stinking.

A little better look from the one below, ya it is the the one that was all stripped down, finally got it all put back together and she purrs like a kitten.

Just getting started on the top side with the plastics and the jig saw puzzle to get the things apart, is a mind teaser in its self. But its all worth it when you see the kids out riding with a ear to ear smile, all the frustration goes right out the door.

Just a quick look at it before it all came apart. The compression tester is still plugged in and only got up to 85 psi, not good when it takes at least 100 for it to run.

Two hours later all the plastic is off and all the other meddling things are out of the way and now we wait for parts and a bore job, to turn around and do it all in reverse. If you look on the side of the piston and see the black going downward that is a sure sign of a worn out engine, its referred to as "blow bye", not something you want to see.

Its been a long time coming getting my bike back together. Rachel and the kids left for the weekend so I took the opportunity to start on getting things
back in working order. I couldn't let my Desert Racing partner
down, getting entered in the races we had talked about.

Its pretty discomforting when you buy a new piston for a small fortune and realize that they tell you that YOU need to drill 3 holes in the side of it, knowing that if you miss the position and size that YOU will have to buy a new one and drill the same holes again and hope to hit the mark the second time. But I was lucky and was able to get it all done without any miss hap's.

While I had the camera out I thought I would take a picture of the other work in progress that is going on in the garage. This is a Polaris Snowmobile that had a major malfunction in the crank which resulted in a complete engine rebuild, not so good on a pocket book!!

Just finished two trailers for a Lawn care business one of the two went pretty smoothly the other had a fair amount of work, but turned out to look good and be quite functional.

Cargo box to carry all that a working man needs to get it done.

This Rack holds 3 Weed Eaters and is also lockable to keep the honest man honest and make the dishonest man work a little harder to get what is not his.

Simple tool holders, (shovels, rakes, ect.)
